D.Sc. in Physical Chemistry at the Institute of Physical Chemistry Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, December 12th, 2005. Thesis: „Fluids near surfaces and in confined geometry: critical adsorption and thermodynamic Casimir effect”.
Title of Professor of natural sciences in the field of physics and chemistry awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland in July 21th, 2021.
She has been employed in the Institute of Physical Chemistry of Science in Warsaw, Poland since 1. 01.09.1989.
She completed postdoctoral internship, granted by a scholarship of Norwegian Government in the Group of Theoretical Physics (Gruppe for teoretisk fysikk) at the University NTNU in Trondheim under supervision of prof. Käre Olaussen 1996, and postdoctoral internship, granted by Royal Society/NATO Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Group of Theoretical Physics, Physics Department, University of Bristol in UK (May 1998 – May 1999) under supervision of prof. Robert Evans.
She paid frequent research visits in the Theory Group at the Physics Department of Oxford University, UK awarded by Royal Society within international exchanges schemes to support research collaboration with prof. Douglas Abraham and at the Physics Department of Bristol University, UK awarded by Royal Society within international exchanges schemes to support research collaboration with prof. R. Evans.
In the years 2006 – March 31, 2022 she has been a researcher at the Max-Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems (MPI IS) in Stuttgart, Germany (former Max-Planck Institute for Metal Forschung) in the Theory of Inhomogeneous Condensed Matter Department directed by prof. S. Dietrich. Since April 2022, she has a status of visiting scientist.
Recently, she has been a project leader of DAAD project 57518931 within PPP- Programme for Project-Related Personal Exchange between Germany and Portugal „Multiscale approximation for the collective dynamics of light-activated colloids”. This grant supported collaboration between the department „Theory of Inhomogeneous Condensed Matter” directed by prof. S. Dietrich at the MPI IS in Stuttgart, Germany and „Centre of Theoretical and Computational Physics” at the University of Lisbon. Years of realization 2020-2021.
